It is important for you to know
the facts about drugs and to understand the risks if you are taking drugs.
Maybe, drugs can lift your mood, make you relax and even give you more energy.
But, they can have negatice impact on your relationship, your life in general,
your mental and physical health.
Drugs can impact on you in a
number of ways :

When a person takes drugs. He or she believes
that taking drugs is a good way of forgetting
one’s problem. They are simply escapes from reality temporarily. Drugs
do not solve their problem ; drugs become one of their problem. Once they are
taking drugs, they may become addicted and grow up to be dependent on them.
Eventually, the addict has to take drugs regularly.

School – You might not immediately notice the
impact of using drugs on your study. You can’t concentrate on your study and
you are not keeping up with your homework, maybe there are examples of how your
study can be affected.

Financial pressures – using drugs regularly can
become really expensive. In the extreme, when people are highly dependent on
drugs, funding their habit can be their top priority and can lead to crime.

Damage to internal organs – heavy use of some
drugs can damage the liver. The brain, lungs, and stomach can be damaged by
drug use too and can even cause death.
If you reduce your drug use,
you may still crave for it for sometime afterwards. Try not to be too hard on
yourself if you don’t reach your immediately goal.
It may be helpful to have
someone you can talk to.. this may be a friend, a family member, doctor or a
counselor.
